Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a believed to be pepper spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.

These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage taken after getting out of a car park lift, police said.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

This event – described by police as was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
