Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the jet's front window, as stated by an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft touched down following standard procedures and all passengers, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative commented in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital at the time.
This occurrence isn't the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet transporting a high-ranking official has suffered equipment failures.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to head back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical fault.
